Falls du des englischen mächtig bist kannst du dieses "How To" benutzen:
Using info and pics from these boards( whic are AWESOME and of great help) I put together my IRG costume. I've noticed quite a few newer folks here in the past recent months and thought this would be of help to them as well as others who are lookin to up grade. So I thought I'd share how I did it, it along with all the other ideas shared on these boards.
IRG cloak (RotJ version):
Use either red felt or red velvet.Ya gotta dig through the 'bargain' fabrics at your local Fabrics stores, don't settle for the first thing ya come across (unless you want to). This can be done correctly AND inexpensively (and this is NOT the only way to do it,other members here have ideas and methods, too).Felt is a lil' cheaper Velvet looks closer to correct.Use maroon cotton broadcloth ($1.87 - WalMart),same as used for Inner Robees, to line the inside of the cloak. Color of the linking will match the color of the Inner robes.Fabric for Outter (the cloak) and Inner (the lining must be at least 45" wide, the wider the better.
Measure: Standing straight up,measure from your collar line to about 2" from the floor (your length). Then from center of L shoulder to center of R shoulder. To figure the curve at the shoulder, when marking and/or cutting fabric,I used a dinner plate. The bottom measurement is about (with fabric folded)45"-50" You can + or - depending on how tall you are..When ya sew front to back, total measurement around the bottom will be something like 90"-120".
Do this for both Inner and Outter Fabrics
Cut 2 pcs at your length-1-front,1-back.Fold length-wise.Use that measurement from shoulders (don't forget to divide in half if you fold) Use that dinner plate to mark your curve along the top edge of fabric.cut from there to down along side til you get to opposite corner.Should now look like 1/2 a triangle with a with a rounded top.
To Sew:
With outsides (right sides) together, sew up one side from the bottom to around the shoulder to the top (you did leave an opening to go around your neck, right? hehe) This'll be the LEFT side.Put lining together with cloak (make sure seams are facing each other, don't wanna put together wrong side out) and run it up on the machine. Now it should look like a big cape....kind of.You can use which evertype of closure on/above the right shoulder.I sewed mine from neck to right on right shoulder.
If ya feel I left something out or did not mention something or just have more questions,PLEASE E-MAIL ME!
Hope this helps.
Nach dem probier ich jetzt den Umhang zu machen. Hier geht es aber um die OT Version mit nur einer Umhangöffnung auf der rechten Seite.
