Ich werde morgen eine Petition starten und habe dazu den unten stehenden Text geschrieben. Bitte sagt mir, was ihr davon haltet.
Wenn ihr Vorschläge habt, lasst es mich wissen.

I made this petition because I love Star Wars and I really liked Episode II,
but as everyone knows, there have been a bit too much cutting for some of us. This is no offense against George Lucas
but it s an appeal to Lucasfilm and of course to George Lucas to release an extended version of Episode II on DVD.
And there s a second favor how Lucasfilm can make us all happier.
George Lucas should dare to make Episode III much longer than 130 minutes. I think you agree with me that we really would love to see a longer Star Wars movie.
So I want all fans out there to sign this petition to ask George Lucas and Lucasfilm to offer all the devoted Star Wars Fans around the world an "Extended Version" of "Attack of the clones" and a much more longer Episode III instead of the usual 130 minutes Star Wars film. A Star Wars film never can be long enough."
I will contact forums, Star Wars web pages and many other constitutions. Not only to get many signatures, but to get a signature from almost every single Star Wars fan.
I want you to tell everyone about it. Your family, your friends or anyone else that you can turn into a Star wars fan should leave his signature here.

aber am Anfang solltest du statt "made this petition" lieber "started this petition" schreiben

das vorhaben höhrt sich ja prinzipiell ganz gut an. wie weit bist du den schon un wo kann / muss man unterschreiben ??

Ich habe mir mal die Freiheit genommen, deinen Text ein wenig zu ändern. Es waren auch ein paar kleine Fehler drin, glaube ich, meine Englischkenntnisse sind nicht so toll. Natürlich ist das deine Petition, du bist ihr Schöpfer(!!), aber ich denke das dieser Text dir sicherlich sehr dienlich sein kann. Wenn die Petition steht, werde ich den Link in meine Signatur übernehmen und in anderen Foren sowie bei Freunden dafür werben. Für deinen Enthusiasmus und deine Arbeit kann ich dich nur loben!!!! I love Star Wars and I really enjoyed Episode II, but unfortunately there are many interesting scenes which have been cut out of the final theatrical version of the new episode. Therefore I started this petition which is certainly in the interest of every Star Wars fan.

This petition is no offense against the creator of the great Star Wars Saga. It?s rather an appeal to Lucasfilm and of course to George Lucas to offer all the devoted Star Wars fans around the world an "Extended Version" of "Attack of the Clones" on the upcoming DVD instead of putting the deleted scenes on the Bonus-Disc. We are also longing for a much more longer Episode III instead of the usual 130+ minutes which are typical of (klingt komisch, das of steht aber aber für ?für?) the other Star Wars movies. I think you agree with me that we really would love to see a longer Star Wars movie especially when it?s the last one. A Star Wars film never can be long enough.

So I want all the fans out there to sign this petition to ask George Lucas and Lucasfilm to take this request into consideration when planing the Episode II DVD and the next Star Wars installment.

Mein Englisch ist normalerweise besser, aber ich habe das wirklich zu unüberlegt geschrieben, nochmal danke für die Hilfe und preise mich nicht so hoch!

Ok, dein Englisch ist nicht gut, aber du hast das größere vokabular.

ach übrigens, ich habe nach geguckt, "for" passt in den Satz besser rein als "of"

Also mich bitte jetzt nicht falsch verstehen. Ich finde die Aktion sehr gut und werde mich auch beteiligen. Aber leider habe ich ja nicht sehr grosse Hoffnungen. An der DVD zu Epi 2 wird ja jetzt auch schon eine Weile gebastelt und ob die das noch hinkriegen, ist fraglich. Aber versuchen können wir es ja.

@ Battlestar666: Das Episode weltweit am selben Tag startet hat genau auf die gleiche Art und Weise angefangen. Also, die Hoffnung noch noch aufgeben.

Deinen Einwand kann ich gut nachvollziehen. Die Episode II DVD ist ja wohl schon seit einigen Monaten in Vorbereitung und GL hatte ja sowieso geplant, einen "Director's Cut" auf die DVD zu brennen.
Der Zweck dieser Petition ist ja auch vielmehr, GL zu bewegen, noch ein paar mehr Szenen in Episode II zu reintegrieren. Mir ist aber auch bewusst, dass es eventuell Fans geben wird, die keine "Extended Version" möchten, da sie mit dem Schnitt zufrieden sind. Denen reicht es vollkommen, wenn die geschnittenen Szenen in einem Extra-Menü auf der Bonus-Disc zu bewundern sein werden. GL sagte aber mal, dass ein Film nie beendet ist, sondern sich in ständiger Weiterentwicklung befindet, sonst hätte es ja auch nie die Special Edition gegeben.

Desweiteren soll die Petition zum Ausdruck bringen, dass sich einige Fans ein lange Episode III wünschen und GL den Film nicht wieder auf 130 Minuten zusammenschneiden soll.
Ob diese Petition etwas bringt, ist natürlich schwer zu sagen, aber sie schadet ja keinem und GL bekommt so noch ein Feedback von seinen Fans. Nach dem Motto: Es gibt nicht zu viel Star Wars, sondern zuwenig!

Ich habe jetzt meinen Freunden den Link gemailt. Des weiteren habe ich ihn im Comicforum, im Episode-X Board und im TheForce.net-Forum gepostet. Meine Signatur beinhaltet ihn jetzt auch.
Jetzt müssen nur noch ein paar SW-Seiten gefragt werden, ob sie den Link auch veröffentlichen (z.B. starwars-union).
Auch so, noch mal ein großes Lob an dich!!!

Äh, korrigiert mich, wenn ich was falsches sage, aber hat Rick McCallum in einem Interview nicht bestätigt, daß die DVD von Episode II defintiv ein Director's Cut werden soll?! Außerdem glaube ich, daß sich die Leute bei Lucasfilms eh nicht lumpen lassen werden, und der Ep2-DVD ähnlich umfangreiche, wenn nicht sogar umfangreichere, Extras wie der Ep1-DVD mitgeben.

irre ich mich, oder hat Episode2 schon über 130min(155?) gedauert. Dem zu verarbeitenden Stoff entsprechend muss Ep.3 folgerichtig ja megalang werden! Ich hoffe es sehr und setze meine unterschrift!!

Ich hab das doofe Gefühl, dass da gar nich genug Leute unterschreiben, weil zu wenige erreicht werden.
Poste doch einfach mal in jedem Forum nen entsprechenden Thread, sehr cool wäre natürlich, wenn die PSW-Verantwortlichen für etwas Support sorgen würden (eigenes Forum?)....
War nur so 'ne Idee, aber es ist für uns als Fan meiner Meinung nach von besonders großer Wichtigkeit.
