I would like to try to talk about "jobs" here, so I could learn some vocabulary concerning jobs.

That's that. Does maybe anyone else feel like talking about his or her job right now?

@dyesce thanks:)

Ehm. Yes, That is not my day, today. That is tru.

Hm. I would like to talk to be all jobs.
z.b. police, painter and so on.

Hi my star wars friends,

I found a pretty funny page on the internet.
It's a kind of cloze, the problem is you won't see the text until you've filled in the gabs.
I think it would be extra funny, if you use things form the star wars universe.
Fill in the gabs and see what kind of funny love letter you get.
By the way the whole thing is in english, so have fun....and post your results if you want.

ok this was just a short contribution for fun, now back to the jobs you want to talk about Kestrel.
I want to ask you, what do you know about being a policeman or a painter, just start and we'll help you ...

(remark for kestrel:
"I would like to talk about all jobs" - I guess you meant this
for example, e. g. = z.b)

Hi Mates!

I'm learning English since 3 years. I don't know, if I'm good, but I always have good marks. What about you? What marks do you usually have in English?

And I looked at the texts, which some of you wrote. Sometimes it's quite terrible...:D

Bye, Marty

I'm learning english for 4 years.

"for" weil ein Zeitraum gemeint ist. "since" wird benutzt, wenn man einen Zeitpunkt in der Vergangnheit meint.

zB: I have got a new book since last friday.
I have got a new book for a week.

I'm unfortunately out of school for 11 years now, and I couldn't complain about my marks all the years. I always hat a "gut" without practising or having much work to do....my teacher once said "If you weren't that lazy, you even could do better"

I think I always have been good because I love this language so much. I really adore it...

Unfortunately you get worse, if you do not use it as often as you could.

And I have to say that I learned english by watching MTV (earlier years with my favourite hosts "Ray Cokes" and "Paul King" also getting up every morning with lovely "Rebecca de Ruvo" was very helpful and enjoyable :p)

Hm, whats "Streber" in English? Strawbery??

According to my dictionary it's "careerist", but I think it sounds much more like business. However, believe it or not: I did never learn a lot for tests etc. Maybe I have a talent for languages. Besides, I really liked the english lessions, because it was fun. At least for me. ;)

Hey, me too! Watching MTV was a good training. Especially Ray Cokes was great. Remember Andycam and Rob the camerman? :D

Same like with me.;) I usually learn just half an hour, and that's enough. My friends usually learn 2 - 5 hours, and I can't say, that they write good marks...
Very strange, I think...;) :D

My marks at scholl weren't that good. But after finishing my Abitur, my eldest brother moved to the US. Since this time, I was forced to use my English quiet often. My grammar must be terrific (and with US-influences), but I won't have any problems to survive in an English-speaking country.
By the way, after finishing my "Vordiplom" in physics, the only chance to learn was reading English books.

Oh for sure I do!

And Ray's legendary:

"Eeeeeeeeeeveeeening!"

I really loved MTV's Most Wanted

And as you said before, I never had to do a lot practising for tests...I think I have a little english blood, at least an english heartbeat in me ;)

See you again soon bye bye :D
