Klonkrieger

The scene where Han Solo was to be carbon frozen was a long a complex scene which required many takes. Eventually, Leia says "I love you" to Han Solo. Harrison Ford had heard this line so many times that he changed the scripted "I love you too" to "I know". Lucas didn't want to film the scene again, and thought it read much better that way, so it remained.
NOTES: A book quoting Irving Kershner talks about how this scene took forever to do, basically because Irvin thought "Han" was too smart and cocky to just respond "I love you too".
To him it was boring so he asked Harrison Ford to just think something up. Harrison had big time problems with it, coming up with stuff like:
Leia: I love you
Han: yeah
Finally, Harrison was telling Irvin that everyone was starting to hate him, and he wanted to try it one more time. That last time was "the line". Irvin nearly freaked, and thought it was perfect, although the other crew couldn't believe he wanted to use it.
Later, when Lucas saw it in editing, HE nearly freaked, because it was so different than what he wrote (the dull "I love you too"). Irvin convinced Lucas to use it in a preview, and when it played, it got a big reaction from the audience, which Lucas at first confused as disapproval. After reading audience cards, Lucas found out that people loved it and told Kershner it was a good idea, that the line would stay.
